Carl Cox announced as mentor for Burn Residency 2017

Burn Residency continues its partnership with Carl Cox to uncover the next wave of DJ talent before launching their career in Ibiza. For the fourth year running, the energy drink welcome back the King Of Ibiza, Carl Cox, as an ambassador for their esteemed Burn Residency programme which aims to unearth the finest emerging talent across the globe.

Having had the chance to meet some of this year’s aspiring DJs at Kappa FuturFestival earlier this month, Carl’s role as mentor will be to school and judge finalists throughout the competition alongside other Burn ambassadors including Luciano and Seth Troxler.

The house and techno legend will guide the remaining 16 finalists through the next stages of the competition, which will involve a variety of challenges during a week-long boot-camp which will take place in Ibiza at the end of August.

Competition will be fierce for the finalists aspiring to the promise of a €100,000 career investment and a place in the Burn family alongside renowned global talent.

Seeking out the best in world-leading, undiscovered DJ talent from across the globe, the BURN Residency 2017 competition has begun. Hailed as the ultimate initiative in electronica and geared towards breaking through next generation’s beat makers, this competition is the definitive opportunity for bedroom-based producers. Offering up a summer-long residency, partnering with iconic Ibiza clubs as well as an additional prize of €100,000 to help carve out their career, those finalists lucky enough to have their mix shortlisted will attend a professional DJ bootcamp. Industry partners include Mixcloud, Be-At.TV, Ibiza Sonica Radio, Resident Advisor and Mixmag.
